Appointed first Chairwoman of the Complaints Commission, Ms Vildana Selimbegovic


Regular session of the Complaints Commission of the Press Council in Bosnia-Herzegovina was held on 6th July 2007 in Neum.

This was the first session of newly appointed Complaints Commission of the Press Council in Bosnia-Herzegovina that consists of eight members:

Ms Vildana SELIMBEGOVIC, Editor in Chief of magazine "BH Dani", from Sarajevo; 
Ph.D. Miodrag ZIVANOVIC, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Banja Luka; 
MA Enes OSMANCEVIC, Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy in Tuzla; 
Mr Fuad KOVACEVIC, Editor of the Press Agency "Onasa" from Sarajevo;
Mr Mladen BOSNJAK, Editor of Radio "Stari most" and magazine "Hercegovacke novine", from Ljubuski;
Mr Drazen ZUBAK, Lawyer, from Sarajevo;
Mr Sasa BIZIC, Deputy Editor in Chief of magazine "Reporter", from Banja Luka; and
MA Goran JANKOVIC, painter and professor at the Faculty of Communications in Banja Luka;

Appointed first Chairwoman of the Complaints Commission, Ms Vildana Selimbegovic, Editor in Chief of magazine "BH Dani" from Sarajevo, member of the B&H Press Council from February 2004.

Analysed 11 complaints of citizens on press reporting, submitted in period May - July 2007. Five (5) complaints upheld, four (4) not upheld, one (1) withdrawn by the complainant, one (1) Decision on submitting a reminder to newspapers on obligatory respect of the Article 11 of the Press Code - Protection of Children and Minors.
